Summer - Pro/Jr Skills

The program will be game relaitive skills that are high intensity and done in a competitive manner. The players will be grouped so that we can work on specific elements of the game that are positional specific and then we will run combined skills/tactics/battles where players are stationed out and grouped accordingly.
Once again these are 1 hr skill sessions and we will focus on many elements of intensified skating (Stride, speed, agility, power, control, and other advanced work), puck skills (passing/receiving, shooting elements with body control and positioning, puck protection shield & load, moves, wall recoveries, fakes and deception) & game relative skills that are tailored for game use and will combine the skills highlighted here and how to use to evade players, find & create space/openings, see & hit passing seams and create opportunities for offence and scoring.
The sessions will also focus on positional splits so players can work on positional specific skills and tactics.
When these players are able to focus on skills and get back to building their skill sets twice a week in the off season this is where you really see player progression.
The winter season for most does not allow players a lot of time to dedicate and focus on personal development.
The program will consist of 16 sessions over the 2 months and the sessions are on Tuesday and Thursday.
